Christine views yoga as nothing less than a complete science of living a more balanced and happy life. Drawing upon more than 8 years of experience in bodywork and mindfulness, and 2 years teaching people of all shapes and sizes, she creates both a challenging and enjoyable approach to Vinyasa that fluidly melds body awareness with movement and breath. Her classes are light-hearted and inspiring, offering students the chance to let go of their daily stresses and feel empowered both in body and mind.
Christy Tennery
Christy Tennery is deeply inspired by practice as a place for self-transformation and yoga as a healing art. She is strongly influenced by the White Lotus Foundation's non-dogmatic approach, the Anusara Yoga alignment system. Her classes are infused with humor and energy, as well as deep grounding and healing work. She delights in meeting her students where they are and working to serve their individual needs. She weaves together her love of the natural world, poetry, her study of anatomy, and the simple joy of linking breath with movement to create a lush tapestry of practice. Christy received her initial teacher training at the White Lotus Foundation, and is also a certified Therapeutic Yoga Teacher through White Lotus. She is certified to teach Prenatal Yoga. Christy has completed> multiple immersions with Katchie Ananda and Scott Blossom, and additional teacher trainings with Judith Hanson Lasater, in anatomy and restorative yoga, and Sianna Sherman, in Anusara yoga. |
