My commitment to fitness started when I discovered aerial arts at a circus school in my late twenties. I immediately fell in love and decided it was my dream to perform with the circus. The hardest part was starting from zero - I had absolutely no upper body strength and had a fear of heights. I couldn't do a pull up, much less hang upside down with a trapeze bar under my knees. But with hard work and dedication, I gradually built my strength. I learned foundational skills on static trapeze and currently train on the apparatus of my dreams - aerial straps (which is similar to gymnastic rings). In the span of 3 years, I went through a physical transformation and am now the strongest I've ever been.
Getting stronger feels amazing, especially as a woman. This inspired me to become a personal trainer to empower others to access their strength, discover the incredible things their bodies are capable of, gain confidence in their abilities and love themselves for everything that they are.
